Want to Travel, Have new Experiences, and am Intellectual

I would love most of all both a travel friend and loving partner to share discussion about intellectual things with. I am sensitive and like sincere people, but people who can also laugh it up when needed. I am not really looking for sex (duh, obviously) and I think that's what screwed me up on the other dating sites. Although I am OPEN to trying it once or twice, the main opinion you must have of the relationship is that it most likely will not go that way. I like to be comforted (when sad or lonely or depressed about the world), but am very self-reliable and not at all childish. I try to save money, but am definitely not closed to buying nice things and experiences as long as they are reasonable. I believe in things such as gay marriage and tolerance of others, do not like the death penalty, and while I respect other people regardless of their cultures, I feel it is more important (and my job) to make the world a better place than to promote some sort of misguided cultural relativism (infant circumcision is not "tolerance"). I am very repellent or any sort of sexism, homophobia, racism, or any sort of "that" behavior and viewpoint. I believe in compassion and virtue towards fellow humans (and animals- I am working on eating less meat, but don't know if I could live without sushi. Maybe we could wait till animals died before eating??) I support Palestine. Period. I am deeply interested in political matters and am the ind of person who would love to, in addition to the traveling, get as much of an inside view of political goings-on as possible (as in personally interviewing politicians or studying cause groups and such). I am currently trying to write philosophical and analytical books, but have also been working on a career in law and history. In short: I would like someone to go on adventures with, who already has means to travel, who agrees with me philosophically and will support me in what I do. A loving partner- but no sex!
